Celebrate and honour wine!

Chanteflûte fraternity

When you think about Burgundy, you think about wines, gastronomy and also its festivals and associations.

In 1971, Hugues de Suremain, Auguste Raquillet, Jacques Jeannin-Naltet and Louis Menand started the Chanteflûte fraternity, with the mission to make Mercurey widely known and celebrated throughout the world, taking inspiration from ancient festivals honouring Bacchus, god of wine.

The fraternity is still active today, bringing together enthusiasts from around the world. It is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021. It is active at events such as the Saint Vincent of Mercurey festival, which it runs, and also the Paulée de la Côte Chalonnaise festival, which it has co-run for several years.

Because in Mercurey, we know how to celebrate and honour wine!
